If they included a demon with every purchase we would all want one. Imagine the questions we could ask, like does God exist? Lol

Do you blame Jehovah, Yahweh, God, Jesus, etc. for the corruption of the borg?
by Fading Begins indo you hold god accountable for the corruption of the borg?
i've noticed there seems to be a bitterness, by some, that includes "god" in the equation, when discussing the borg and their policies, the governing body, elders actions, etc.
do the borg's transgressions originate with god, or does he feel the same disgust as we do?

A non existent entity cannot be blamed for anything.
It would be like blaming Santa for lousy xmas presents. Or not getting any at all.

*** it-2 p. 32 Jeremiah, Book of ***
When Written. For the most part, the book of Jeremiah was not written at the time he declared the prophecies. Rather, Jeremiah evidently did not put any of his proclamations into writing until he was commanded by Jehovah, in the fourth year of King Jehoiakim (625 B.C.E.), to dictate all the words given him by Jehovah to date. This included not only words spoken about Judah in Josiah’s time but also proclamations of judgment on all the nations. (Jer 36:1, 2) The resulting scroll was burned by Jehoiakim when Jehudi read it to him. But Jeremiah was ordered to write it over, which he did through his secretary Baruch, with many additional words.—36:21-23, 28, 32.
The remainder of the book was evidently added later, including the introduction, which mentions the 11th year of Zedekiah (Jer 1:3), other prophecies that Jeremiah wrote down at the time he was to deliver them (30:2; 51:60), and the letter to the exiles in Babylon (29:1). Additionally, the proclamations uttered during the reign of Zedekiah and the accounts of the events after Jerusalem’s fall, down to about 580 B.C.E., were added later. It may be that, although the scroll written by Baruch was the basis for a large part of the book, Jeremiah afterward edited and arranged it when adding later sections.
A few "evidentlys" in there and a "may be".

What bollox!
I discovered an elder had been dishonest for 6 years and in that time made an elder in 2 different congregations while carrying on with his fraudulent practices.
Is he saying then that holy spirit can appoint some-one an elder but we have to wait for Jah to expose wrong doing and he's got too much on his plate to sort it in time to stop a corrupt elder getting appointed.
As far as I am aware this elder has still not been exposed and is unlikely too now so he got away with it that time. It has since come to my attention that he is now working elsewhere with fake qualifications!!

If this guy is happy in his ignorance discovering TTATT could destroy that happiness. Why would you want to do that?
Some people are better off in happy ignorance even if they are living a lie. If the truth is too much to bear and would cause him to lose everything you have already asked questions that may come back to him later.
If you want to remain friends with this guy I would advise backing off now and letting your words settle. They will come back to him if the time is ever right.
Just my opinion. x

Is the WT really a charity?
by The Song Remains The Same infurther to my enquiries here about the red cross, and also in noticing the autralian financials posted in this thread by jwleaks, i took a look at the uk financial statements helpfully posted at jwleaks here.. there is a lot of good information related to the income and expenses of the wt in the uk over a number of years.
well worth digging into if you are of a business mind for sure.
i will focus on the 2011 statements, found here and here since there seems to be two, one for the watchtower and one for the int'l bible students.

The WTBTS has charitable status which means they are entitled to certain favourable tax criteria and exceptions but are they a charity, that opens up an entirely different line of reasoning!
IMHO they do more harm than good and their charitable status should be revoked

Ricky Gervais on atheism & some ideas we can relate to
by alecholmesthedetective ini found this article really interesting because of the similar thoughts ricky expresses i could relate to and think are good food for thought irrespect of what you believe at the present time.
http://blogs.wsj.com/speakeasy/2010/12/19/a-holiday-message-from-ricky-gervais-why-im-an-atheist/.
for example.... people who believe in god dont need proof of his existence, and they certainly dont want evidence to the contrary.

When it became a stick to beat people with. “Do this or you’ll burn in hell.”
This line is brillliant because until God says it to me himself it is only the words of men.

Our politicians here in UK certainly don't care about our disabled, elderley and vulnerable. There were 57 demonstrations yesterday throughout the country and the main one was in Trafalgar Square London and there was nothing in the mainstream media whatsoever. A complete blackout on it.
Did any of you guys over the pond or down under see anythng reported on your news? I would love to know.
BBC here in UK didn't mention anything and only a couple of on-line newspapers gave it a few paragraphs.
100s of thousands took to the streets with placards yesterday regarding the new bedroom tax or spare bedroom subsidy to give it it's correct title which takes away on average £14 a week from the poorest citizens leaving them with less than £20 a week to live on.
This new tax is directed at only the poorest and most vulnerable in our society and comes into effect 1st April which incidently is the same day the millionaires are given a tax break giving them an extra £100,00 a year and for those MPs claiming for second homes they also get an extra £100 a year to cover inflationary costs on electricity for their second homes whilst our poorest lose £750 a year.
George Carlin speaks a lot of truth.

(Ecclesiastes 12:12) .?.?.To the making of many books there is no end, and much devotion [to them] is wearisome to the flesh. (The JW stuff was certainly wearisome)
But possibly they are running out of new material and are having to recycle their old stuff.
